Welcome to Our New Blog!

Welcome!  It has been a busy and exciting fall for the Arts Council.  I attended the Arts Midwest Conference in Minneapolis in September.  Good professional development sessions, fun to reconnect with friends from the region and saw numerous groups I would love to bring to Aberdeen!  October found me attending a conference in Indianapolis on developing the next generation of arts audiences.   In between these two conferences, we hosted the first ensemble of the 2009-2011 Midwest World Fest Project – Beauty and Melody.  It was a great week.  They visit one community per state and will visit a total of 10 states.   Aberdeen is only the 3rd community to have been asked to host this outstanding project a second time.  What a feather in our hat!!  And now, we have just launched a totally new website.   We hope you enjoy our new look.  ~Stacy Braun
