Kevin Nelson

I was born and raised here in Aberdeen where I graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 2005. I am currently attending Northern State University until May of 2010 when I will graduate with a B.A. in Music, B.S. in Finance, and a minor in Economics. I am an active part of the NSU fine arts program, participating in numerous instrumental ensembles, as well as serving as the business manager for the school paper, The Exponent. I also currently serve as the coordinator for the Community School of Music through the Aberdeen Recreation and Cultural Center. This is my first year on the Arts Council. It is important to me to keep the arts alive in this community. Music has always been a large part of my life, and through involvement, I have seen how it enriches our lives and our community. The Arts Council provides me with the opportunity to help keep the arts alive and growing.
