Dick Thomas
Past President
I earned my B.S. in Chemistry from Huron College, my M.Ed. in Mathematics from Northeastern University in Boston, and 45 plus hours in graduate chemistry or education work from numerous US Colleges and Universities. After four and a half years as an Air Force Officer I began my chemistry-teaching career. I taught 1/2 year in Wayne Nebraska and from 1971 until 1999 at Central High School in Aberdeen. Since 1999 I have taught inorganic chemistry at Presentation College. Besides serving on the Arts Council I also serve on the Alexander Mitchell Library Board and the Library Foundation Board. My wife Susan Hohm and I have two grown children, Vanessa and Eric, and four grandchildren. I have always felt that the Arts are crucial to the development of an individual. They open the heart to help process the data the mind receives. I have served on the Arts Council for several years and am a past president.
