Photography is a way for me to share wonderful moments that I have experienced on my outdoor adventures.  Since I was a young boy growing up on a farm, nature has and always will be an alluring and necessary piece of my life.

Timeless beauty shared with others 

I endeavor to create images that will bring timeless beauty, joy and wonder to everyone who views them.  It is a fun process to get outside and interact with nature, capture its beauty and then bring the image to life in my home studio.  It is an honor when someone connects with the labor of my passion and it finds a good home. 

The process

I print and frame all my own photos, except for an occasional metal print or extra-large print, which I am not equipped to do in my home studio.  My favorite mediums are rich archival quality cotton papers and canvas. On more than one occasion my canvas photos have been mistaken for paintings! What a great compliment! Sometimes I take artistic liberties and do a little digital ‘manipulation’ or overlay several photos to create a compelling image.

My favorite subjects are birds and beautiful sunsets or sunrises.  Weekends are usually spent rising before the sun and capturing mother nature in the beautiful sunrise light or wandering out in the evening for sunset warmth.
